Joondalup Health Campus

Completed in stages – $256M. The Joondalup Health Campus expansion is a six-year project that includes new mental health facilities, a new five level (106 bed) public ward block, multi-storey parking facilities, upgrades to the Central Energy Plant, new operating theatres and a new cardiac catheter laboratory, as well as back of house upgrades and refurbishments. The public ward block includes 46 contemporary individual patient rooms across two new wards, with a future 60 beds to be fitted out. The public theatre block has undergone a major transformation with one new public theatre and two new interventional catheter laboratories.

The expansion includes more pre-surgery holding bays and post-anaesthesia care unit bed bays, improved facilities for staff and an expanded central sterilising services department to support additional theatre activity.

The project has delivered new facilities across the site, including a 102-bed mental health unit, more emergency department beds, a new discharge lounge, additional parking and supporting facilities.
